Pahiyangala Development and Conservation Foundation
Preserving Our Heritage • Empowering Our Communities • Protecting Our Culture
Nestled deep within the lush green hills of Bulathsinhala, the Pahiyangala Cave Monastery stands not only as one of Sri Lanka’s most revered historical sites — dating back over 40,000 years — but also as a symbol of sacred Buddhist tradition, environmental richness, and rural heritage.
To preserve its legacy and nurture the communities that surround it, we’ve launched the Pahiyangala Development and Conservation Foundation — a grassroots initiative dedicated to historical conservation, sustainable village upliftment, and spiritual-cultural revival.
